And how much would you have saved in both real money and lost revenue by paying the professional the first time?

Man, you are so smart and know everything, I am surprised you are not running your own fleet already

I took it as he was just saying if you don’t know anything about what’s going on maybe it’s better to just hire a specialist vs throwing parts at it. While the specialist is there be very engaged in what he’s doing and try to learn all you can for the next time. Anyway, I’ll stay out of it. lol

Don't have to be a fleet owner to know it's never a better idea to simply throw parts at a problem hoping one will stick.

If he had a fairly good idea of the problem, sure try it yourself. Saving money is always better. But blindly going out to buy parts based on a faulty understanding of the issues is always going to cost more.

And yes, I did learn that the hard way with a personal vehicle I had. Which is why I advised from the start to pay the professional.

My post was only half sarcastic. He is really right in pretty much in all his posts.
But he is only booksmart. Its like your aunt, who never had her own, but always gives you advises on how to raise your kids. You know that she is right, but it's still annoying to listen lol

lol gotcha. Thought there may be some history there with y’all.

I feel bad for the OP. Classic example of being tight on funds and it leading to making you make a decision which ends up costing you more money which ends up making funds even tighter. Yes that’s prob a run on sentence but I failed English class.
