Going home to Vegas, taking a stack with me.

Forklift guy went home, so i got to stack my own steps. Took a minute to find the balence point on the steps. Id never used a forklift on steps before. I was usually somewhere they didn't have one.

It is an odd feeling swinging a trailer around like bat, even if im going dead slow.

Took this shot while i was checking to see if i was lined up good.

 

Its wierd isnt it?

At times i get lazy enough to hitch my trailers by just picking them up and setting them on the pintle or GN ball.

And i pretty much flip them over for any kind of maintenance now.

So I’m sitting home not working today and my dispatcher texts me around noon to ask me if I can go to Brooklyn....WHAT!!!
I explained by the time I got the truck and picked up the load, I’d be lucky to get there by 5 or 6...
He says, “we don’t have many other options”
Realizing that the odds of someone actually waiting for me at the jobsite were slim to none...aaanndd the only thing worse than trying to get into Brooklyn in the afternoon is trying to get back out
I apologetically declined...
