yes i did do my research that is why i decided to wait, i originally was going to get my cdl at 18.
being 22 i'm right in that grey area between being able to travel interstate but still being right up against the insurance company limits.
still got applications pending with marten, wel and stevens. going to apply to swift as well.
i could care less if the companies good or bad what i need at this point is wheel time and a paycheck.

Don't worry about it lol. Chief's grammer and punctuation is just as bad as yours. It's the Pot calling the Kettle black. Most of us can't even spell correctly without a spell checker. For example, he likes to start sentences with prepositions which is a no-no, doesn't use commas correctly, and doesn't capitalize new sentences.

Please feel free to find how many mistakes were made in this post. It's almost a fun game on the side to play while on this site ;)

Bummer, I'm sorry to hear that. I know this probably isn't much consolation or help, but I think it's just your age. I know your record is clean as you've stated, it's just that you really haven't even been driving a car all that long from their viewpoint. Let's face it, all of us that are new to truckdriving have about the same experience in trucks. But, for example, I've had a driving license for over 30 years. I'm not a million mile safe trucker, but I've got over a million miles DRIVING, and only had 3 or 4 moving violations in all that time. I'm certainly not unique in that way, but I think most of the companies and their insurance carriers just aren't ready to take on the risk of a young driver. Hell, your regular car insurance rates don't even drop until you're 25!

Be patient and keep your chin up-you're a young guy and you've got a long career ahead of you. Just don't get discouraged and keep on trying. Take what you can get and get a year or two under your belt. Something will break for the good for you when the time is right. Good luck!

well, alrighty, first of all it's "grammar," not "grammer," secondly, it isn't a "no-no" to start a sentence with a preposition, although it IS a "no-no" to end a sentence with one. I don't use commas correctly? HUH???? you're using a comma in addition to the word "and." talk about a "no-no!" as far as the words grammar, punctuation, commas and prepositions - could you even define any of those if your life depended on it?

for my age my insurance rates have been pretty cheap.
128 for my excursion and a little over 100 for my sport bike.
in the entire time i've had a license i've gotten two tickets, i can't best a 30 year driving record but if you where to grab 50 people in my age bracket i bet i'd have the cleanest record of them all.
i just need a company thats willing to let me prove that, thats why i like to put rapture transport down as one of my references, things didn't work out but it was still valueable and i think it shows my responsibility.
i signed on to rapture using my excursion as my tow car a month after turning 21, what are most people doing when they turn 21..parties..bars..etc.
not me i was traveling all over the east and parts of the rockies hauling cars ranging in value from 5,000 all the way up to this one car that had a value of 190,000.
