I call the on-road number at my company, then they find a repair shop close by.

2nd the internet search.
"Truck repair near me"
Than call a few people and ask about the other shops. -
I don't have to do a Google search for it and hope for the best, because I have a reliable network supporting me.faux_maestro Thanks this. -
I’d still rather own mine and have to find my own road service when needed. To each their own.
dunchues, xsetra, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -

I agree, if it wasn't my money or my equipment. I wouldn't care who (or how much it cost) to work on my truck. And less stress.
I only needed help 3 time in 20 years, tow truck or repair from a mechanical problem, away from home. 1) was because a transmission failed. 2) a rear axle broke. 3) air compressor.
Not counting flat tires.
Most times I can repair or limp my truck home.Last edited: Feb 26, 2020

Swift has their own on-road department and a good network of independent shops around the country to call on.
