What do you like best about trucking?

I always liked the money. Always been about the money, never about how fast..how shiny my truck is. Always about the money. Why do it otherwise?

 

An exit, a ticket out, a reason to go, a welcome load to get me out and a welcome load to get me home, the ability to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving, always leaving and always at home

 

Gotta mix it up or it gets too boring, sometimes I actually sleep better in a sketchy spot, if stuck there out of necessity. Just tuck in and keep your head down, kind of exciting. Real easy to get going in the morning too

 

Did I mention you can take your kitty?

 

What I like are days when I can get up at 0300, get ready and start rolling.

What I hate are days like today when I have to wait until late morning before I can start my clock due to appointment times.

 

Not my kitty lol. That would not be a good thing.

 

I like a good cup of coffee and driving down the road watching the sun rise. I like thinking about all the “Richard Cranium’s” lives I saved today just by being professional and safe, even though they’ll never know it. I like presenting a clean, professional appearance that puts the dirty t shirt flip flop wearing crowd to shame. I know they don’t care, but I do. I like taking pride in my ride, it ain’t a fancy one, but it puts a heck of a nice pay check in the bank. I like the memories of my Dad, he took great pride in that brand new ‘82 Pete COE. It had an air starter, he’d sit there, in the truck stop, just waiting for some unsuspecting poor soul to walk by right in front of the truck...he’d hit that air starter, “vvvviiingg!” The guy would jump straight in the air and Dad and I would absolutely howl with laughter.
I could go on...

 

I'm in trucking for the glamor and the free coffee.

 

What I like best about trucking is the two for $5 pizza at flying J.
