I call the on-road number at my company, then they find a repair shop close by.

    buddyd157 and Jenn72 Thank this.

    2nd the internet search.
    "Truck repair near me"
Than call a few people and ask about the other shops.

People down the mega carriers for so many reasons, but this is not one of them.

I don't have to do a Google search for it and hope for the best, because I have a reliable network supporting me.

I’d still rather own mine and have to find my own road service when needed. To each their own.

Who does your carrier use to find road service?

Do they use Google or are a part of one of the online road service networks?

Talking to the people and asking questions. Most times you can determine who has the ability to do the repairs.
I agree, if it wasn't my money or my equipment. I wouldn't care who (or how much it cost) to work on my truck. And less stress.
I only needed help 3 time in 20 years, tow truck or repair from a mechanical problem, away from home. 1) was because a transmission failed. 2) a rear axle broke. 3) air compressor.
    Not counting flat tires.

Most times I can repair or limp my truck home.

Swift has their own on-road department and a good network of independent shops around the country to call on.
