From what I found out a 2010 transtar with 10 sp. Eaton Fuller is recommended to have chevron sae 40 synthetic transmission oil, used to be sae 50. For the rear differentials I just have some conventional 80w90 I was going to use just to fill to correct level. Sound about right?

There is a disc attached to each plate. So 75w90 synthetic?

    jamespmack Thanks this.

Those discs do fall off. And second not mixing the oils. Just spend the money and put in what it uses.

Where can I buy just a quart or a gallon of 40 or 50 synthetic transmission oil? I'm just starting and poor so can't afford $200 for a 5 gal pail lol

Easiest way would be a local shop. I know all the parts stores around here only sell by the bucket.

Yes I plan on stopping at Napa and buying a quart of 75w90 for the rear differentials for $16 lmfao. Originally I bought 4 quarts 80w90 conventenal for $3 a quart for it but not going to put it in.

It cost more, but buying a 5gal bucket and a pump will be well worth it Compaired to putting it in by the quart. I know it seems like a waist, but its tax deductible and helps you build your arsenal of tools if you plan on doing this a lifetime.
