A Question Before Leaving For School... Employmeny History & Secondary Jobs...?

Thanks a lot. This is very helpful. Ok, so as far as them pulling employment history, I was told by my recruiter that they would be verifying last 3 years of employment. What's been confusing me on that statement is whether or not they pull consumer records, call the jobs on the application, or only pull the DAC to verify the history. I've been told different things, like to tell them, otherwise when they pull my records it could backfire on me. Well.... What records are those exacly? lol. And that question hasn't really been answered yet, which is confusing me extremely.

When I applied at Micro Center, I told them on that application that My current job is the only one I've had for the past 2 years (at that time) and that I had held no other jobs, when in reality, just a year and a half prior, employment ceased at my current job and I went to work at UPS for a couple of weeks. When my current job called me to come back to work there, I jumped at the opportunity and left UPS, and since UPS was literally only a couple of weeks, I've always said I've worked my current employer for as long as I have (2 1/2 years). So I'm just confused as to whether or not it'll be like the Micro Center situation and it'll go over ok if I just don't put those 2 jobs down. Lol, so much info! Sorry!

 

I e-mailed my recruiter a few minutes ago, and was told they do pull your DAC. So, just like you said, I'm guessing they check your employment history based on your DAC, and when people say I should disclose it because it'll be on my records, this is what they mean..? Since I don't have a DAC, they can only see what I've done based on my application..?

 

Alright, cool. Very well explained, and easy for me to understand, lol. Verifying the employment information on my app is just a simple phone call to the most recent, correct?

 

Alright. They verify that with DAC, correct? I'm just making sure I dont dig myself a hole, lol. And as far as the credit post above goes, will the trucking company pull your credit report?

 

I actually just answered my own question there, lol. I was reading their information release form they had sent to me, and it looks, like you've said, that everything is done by DAC. I'll be ok, lol. Thanks for the help and great info. Really helped to calm my nerves!

 

Lol, true, true. I guess I'm just scared that I'll ruin a good first chance and not have another chance at all. But, I figured since they're pulling from the DAC, it can't hurt me at all, since there's nothing on there, and as far as the jobs on my app, I figured it'll be just like Micro Center, and they'll only know what they see there. I've sure relaxed a tremendous amount after doing the research here and talking to you guys. Thanks for the help and patience from a newbie, hah.
