Child Porn Suspect Commits Suicide By Truck

Well if I ever met David at a truck stop I would buy him supper..

 

Even this guys final act was to victimize an innocent person. I think he has a pineapple in his future.

 

I know suicides are at an all time high.

I know there's plenty of suicide prevention options

I know an entire police department will shut down a city for a day to pull one guy off a bridge

But,,,,,

I also have a saying,

"If you're gonna kill yourself, please kill YOURSELF."

In other words, don't get other people involved. No suicide by cop shootouts, no taking coworkers hostage, no killing your girlfriend/wife and kids, no running into innocent people on the highway.

I'm about out of sympathy for people that see their way out of this world by dragging other people with them.

Resume: "truck driver for 15 years, with that one time I was hired to be an executioner for the state of Florida, I didn't like it and quit after my first day."

 

Um guys I hate to play devils advocate here, but we have a legal system in this country. It's based on "innocent until proven guilty". This guy was facing charges, he had NOT been convicted of anything. Many people are charged with crimes they don't commit. Some can handle it mentally, some can't. But just because he committed suicide by Kenworth doesn't mean he was "trash" or "scum" or most importantly, even guilty.

My best friend in college dated a girl who gave him a laptop for christmas. They broke up and before the official break up she uploaded child porn onto his laptop in a folder that was password protected. After the breakup when he demanded the cell phone back that he gave her she called the police to report he had child porn. They took his computer and forensically analyzed it and found the folder. He wouldn't give the cops the password because he didn't know but she said "Oh he knows. I'll tell you what it is." And she gave them the password. He was then charged with 30 counts of child porn.

Another incident was my neighbor a long time ago had a wifi router at his house without a password. In the middle of the night someone came and downloaded a bunch of child porn parked out on the street. A week later the FBI came and busted the guys door down and took his computers and everything. 2 months later they sent him a letter saying he could go get his equipment meaning they found nothing. Guy was innocent but the FBI busted into his house and treated him like a criminal. Guy had no clue WTF was going on. I was worried he would commit suicide.

This kind of #### happens, guys. Open your eyes.

 

With today's computer forensics it's pretty easy to see who downloaded what and exactly what time ect.ect. You can also see if files were looked at and exactly when. Your friends story seems a little fishy, and with the WiFi thing, they can see exactly what device it was downloaded to.

That's not true at all. They can't tell "who" downloaded a file onto a computer. They can only tell the last date the file was modified. They also cannot see what device anything is downloaded to. They can only see that a file was downloaded to an IP address. Even if they COULD tell what device it was downloaded to, that would not be something they could know without having all that information before the warrant is served which never happens.

Before you claim knowledge on the subject do a little research. I've been building computers since before most people knew what a computer was.
