Anybody here in that Wyoming accident today?

Nobody has time for the cb when they are busy taking pics and videos to post.

 

Not me. I was snowed in for two days at the end of November. Not in a hurry to return.

The other problem with CBs is some idiot is talking, so you turn the volume down to shut him up. Then forget to turn it back up.

 

From the photos I've seen and video posted of the crash scene, appears that some were not driving the speed that the conditions dictated.
Those conditions were predicted in advance yet drivers still plowed on at speed into whiteout conditions.
The CB could not have prevented this.
RIP to those who won't be going home to friends and family.

 

Not in the crash, but been hanging out at the Petro in Laramie since Sunday afternoon. Road was expected to be open early afternoon, but now they are talking 8 tonight

 

This is exactly my cb is turned off most of the time. Only thing I ever hear on it some guy with a keyed mic playing music or someone thinking I care about his political views.

I do turn it up when I see flashers or if the weather is particularly bad.

 

Yea it's bad with the idiots around north jersey/nyc. Nobody wants to hear your political rants and whatnot. Them dudes with big radios that blast everyone out

 

Don't be. If you can handle ice and so on its all good. The problem is the dummys that pile up by the dozen in a proper storm in which they should have been sitting.

Thats the other thing you do in Wyoming a time or two. Sit and wait out a storm. Dispatchers hate that very much which is why you have herds of dummies crashing out taking on bad storms. I hate to be difficult to some of us but there are those who know what they are expecting and those who just tralala and horsewhipped by dispatch to keep going. Weather be ######. And here we are.

 

You have chains use them we cant afford to have a load days late.

 

oh I know. I was being sarcastic. On that note I want to point out that we might know our limits but we can’t depend on the trucker next to us know theirs.
