Israel has the necessary information to begin production and trials of vaccine. As do some of our labs here in the USA. The problems is human trials by aug then mass production which is 12 months.
To be blunt the weak will be winnowed out by then. If I am one of those? Oh well. Thats quite too bad because ive still got things to do in life.

We always keep a few months of food in the house. I can't stand shopping at the mart. If i get the virus I get it. There is nothing I can do about it. Were all going to die some day either on the road, in bed, having sex or doing yard work or cancer. Just live life have fun and smack your other 1/2 on the buns. Or if you can't stand you DKhead neighbor cough on that #######

In my opinion, there is fear and then there is panic. Having a healthy fear of something is not a negative. In my case as I stated I refuse to panic. If this dang virus leads to my death then so be it.truckdriver31 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
And to think I already avoided the stores and public places enough before the craziness started. We've got a two small grocery stores, an Albertson's and a Wal-Mart Supercenter in town. The smaller two seem are always packed to the brim, but lack a few items I prefer. Wally World always is a madhouse of the lower tier variety. And Albertson's has everything, but it also seems to be packed with both air force wives and soccer moms taking their time in the aisles. Couple that with the viral panic and you've got pandemonium during peak hours.
Work wise, we've been getting hit with a slump as well. Very little loads going out to Littlefield or HEB San Antonio. But plenty going out to the local cheeseplant out here in Clovis. Only problem with that place and why no one wants to do it is the high amount of contact with humans of the angry variety over there(used to get unloaded within 1-2 hours. Now the bimbos controlling traffic just pre stage you across the street bringing total time to 2-4.) Many just elect to go broke rather than risk an incident.
Beginning to think loss of jobs will be more likely for most than catching a strain.truckdriver31 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
A big part of the reason corona19 was so deadly is that the first reaction was "oh, you have flu, go home rest and stay hydrated". That ended up spreading the disease rapidly. Cities in China that have acted aggressively are showing much lower mortality rates.
Think of all the calamities that have come to pass. Afterwards people ask "why were we not warned/preparrd?" It usually turns out we were warned, we just didn't heed the warnings.truckdriver31, bentstrider83, mladen86 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Personally, I think we are past the tipping point on climate change. I believe it will be an extinction event for h. Sapiens.
I think we could very well be in for a rough ride on COVID-19. But, hey, the ignoramus in chief has a hunch, so, sure, let's follow that, rather than listen to the experts.Qbf594, joshuapowell61, TruckChicken and 2 others Thank this. -
I thought the mods don't allow political talk in threads like these?
