The story of three trucks, each governed within 0.4 mph of each other. None will give inch. Each wants a mile of blood. Terror on the Ten.

    In theaters and IMax.

Jeeze... it's so hard to back your cruise off 2 mph to let someone pass... it eats soooooooo many seconds of time, you might be late!!!
If I see someone come out behind me to pass, and I can see its gonna be a turtle race, I back off. Then blink them over. Then bump cc back up. The sweat on my brow is just dripping.

Thanks for that. I'm getting antsy now that I have nothing standing in the way. It's a big change going from being self-employed for the past 25 years, calling all the shots, sleeping in my own bed every night, taking time off any time I want.

But I really want a change of pace and a new adventure. I think I felt this way before going into the Marine Corps. :)

I think a roadside thrashing would be the right punishment for that.

They have radios, probably just don't turn them on unless there's an accident. I don't blame them. 90% of the time it's just #####ing and racism. I don't want to hear some super trucker going 80 ##### about every little #### thing he comes across.

You go the speed limit? Someone will complain
Take too long to pass regardless of the conditions ahead? #####ing
    You brake too much? #####ing.
You have safe following distance? #####ing
Always about them and everyone else being an inconvenience for them

Had the displeasure of being stuck in the left lane for a few miles some days ago because a 4wheeler kept matching my speed. Decided to slow down and get back over when this super trucker on CB started calling me names. ####### trucker then tried to angrily pass on the right and kill my chance to get over. #### it I'll be an ####### too. I sped back up forcing them to stay behind the 4wheeler. I eventually passed the 4wheeler, but boy they were screaming then. I just laughed and went about my business. The funny part is this all happened in a time span of like 2 minutes. Guy must have high blood pressure from all that anger and impatience

Yeah, its better to just come off your cruise and let dummy pass you. The 4 wheelers jammed up behind dummy will thank you.

My Freightliner has a Passmart thing that gives me 70mph for passing. It has made a big difference.

Oddly enough the kid that I am training tries to use it when other trucks try to pass him. Just barely breaking him of that annoying habit.

Also had to teach him that merging traffic is required to yield after he failed a merge job then decided to blow his airborne at the 4wheeler already on the interstate. Lol.

Safety ended up calling him over that one.

Oh well. Hes doing better now.

Other trucks are just as clueless about merging as cars. If there is plenty of room to grab the left lane for merging traffic, move left LATER. like when you are in the merging vehicle's blind spot. And as soon as you grab the left lane, turn on your RIGHT turn signal so the merging vehicle and any traffic behind knows what is about to happen. Some drivers have stopped moving over for merging traffic because of bad mergers. Merging traffic has the burden.

The companies have installed speed limiters, cameras, and created schedules with 5-15 seconds of "cushion". Companies have hired poorly trained "drivers", often with NO history of even stable employment, let alone a sense of responsibility. They then get some office dweeb to "coach" you on making better decisions. Guess who is driving that 4-wheeler on the shoulder or darting INTO the on-ramp to pass cars/trucks. Your "coach."
