I am with a different company but that yard move has to be one of the stupidest things.....We have to hit about 15 buttons to do yard move as well as two separate boxes for explanations...I pretty much don't even bother using it...Stupidity.

@Farmerbob1, I dig your attitude man. Swing for the fences.

Don’t expect gratitude from Crete from pointing these inefficiencies out. The reason they exist is because Crete has a culture of band-aid fixes when it comes to their I.T. department and that comes straight from the top. COO Tim Aschoff is the guy responsible for this and it sounds like he’s more comfortable keeping the plane on autopilot.

Going through that with my employer right now. Obvious problems with band aid fixes.

This is true. I am criticizing Crete right now, but I would still suggest them as one of the best large companies to work for.

Wow that's a long list...… and you wonder why they don't respond? They probably have you on a (DO not answer) list.

    Yard moves and 15 buttons.

Speaking of which, after my surgery a year and change ago they assigned a physical therapist a traveler from Louisiana. He shows up for our allotted hour.

5 minutes of that hour is communications. Once I get walking like I am supposed to he pulls the pad out and start filling in checkboxes the next 50 minutes. If the check boxes are not challenging or require explaining, hes finished with them in 40 minutes.

Peck peck peck peck face down at the pad. check check check check. Feed it, feed it... even today I can hear the pick pick pick of that stylus hitting his check boxes.

I fired them in 5 weeks. Told them Ive walked enough thank you, I'll take it from here. And that was the number one reason why.

Insurance paid them 6000 for 5 weeks. Some service.

And he didn't even mention the worst BS micromanaging that this company expects drivers to deal with, unpaid.

Like being told where to get fuel. Told what roads, expressways to avoid, forced to drive in slow traffic for no bonus dollars etc all to save the company money and share none of it with the drivers who agreed to wasting their own time to provide it.

Micromanagement is the fastest way to make me walk. I have enough on my plate doing all that without mommy and daddy dearest in office 2000 miles away telling me what they think I ought to do with the crazy mission impossible already late loads under bungled time wasting dispatching of their own.

And they expect me to fix all that.

    HA. The nerve.

I am captain of my rig. A very modern model of a major general without skills? No. I decide if there is a problem and then call if I need money to solve it.

recent update has fixed a few things. Now shows total hours available for the day like you wanted. And they put the 8 day recap screen back in. Doesn't add the hours all up for each day for you like it used to, but some progress was made.

Possible. However, I would think that the fact that I was able to come up with a list that long in 20 minutes is an indicator that someone needs to look at something, no?
