Go to the function menu (hold down function button for about 2 seconds) and look for LCD: This option lets you choose if you’d like to display the following on the LCD meter.
Rotate the channel selector to select the different options.
The first option is to display the model name of the radio, the second option will show the DC voltage present at the power jack, and the third option will display the model name during receive and the voltage during transmit.

Your post made me want to dust off my 655 for a 3 day trip tomorrow. Plugged it in as a base station and discovered the channel selector is stuck on Channel 19. I'm still going to take it. I never use any other channels
I told somebody the other day that if you super glued my channel selector on Channel 19 I wouldn't notice it for 6 monthsMeteorgray and stacks Thank this. -
***edit to above post. My power supply was not turned up to proper voltage, presumably causing my problem. After I got proper voltage all was well. Sorry to sully Stryker's good name lol

Certain stretches of road are nonstop chatter; others are dead as a doornail. I-26 between Greenville and Asheville seems to be busy every day. I'm sure there are other stretches just as busy
