    Those big Michelin Man things. They're almost straight up from the mirror bracket, by the top of the visor.

    I noticed a lot of trucks Around Chicago Area and on I-65 and I-70 with those Michelin men on the visors also spot lamps or extra running lamps

    I figured it'd be a white volvo mafia thing, but that's a decent looking Pete in that picture... for an aero truck.

    I read in a Michelin collectors memorabilia book once that they are considered in europe to be road guardians and keep you safe in your travels. Michelin dealers used to give them out when you bought their tires as far back as the 1920’s and people put them on their cars for good luck.the first ones were made from rubber and than they made some rare ones out of porcelain. The later ones were molded plastic. Some of the early ones are worth a lot to collectors. Bibendum is the Michelin mans real name.
