On pavement it's pretty stable right between the axles, but hit some sand and it changes instantly.

You guys are always posting your beautiful tarp loads and I kind of envy you. Only for the ability to use a tarp...I have no interest in doing it myself...FB reminded me that this was 2 years ago today. Maybe I should be posting in the “haul of shame” thread...
What a nightmare! Had to get this piece of equipment and they wanted it covered. I told them to get me some good tarps and this is what they came up with...FerrissWheel, PoleCrusher, DeereRunner97 and 5 others Thank this. -
5 hours got it done. Got 39 on the drives and 41 on trailer I tried, but still legal on permit of course.
To top it off, I was just informed that the customer can’t receive it. They can’t figure out how to unload it. So I’m taking it to our Jacksonville yard for the time being. Got a last minute permit update
All that work, And I can’t bring it to conclusion. F me

I have recovered 5 or 6 excavators with a winch tractor in the early 80's using this method.Linte_Loco, FerrissWheel, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
To top it off, the guy called me around 8 Saturday morning while I was on my way to our yard and said bring it. I’m not sure how the charges worked and what the consequences were for the people shipping it to him. But they said to store it because customer had to figure it out. Hence the permit change.
I told the scale guy in FL the situation because I really didn’t care, the guy said come on. And he said he wouldn’t sign my old permit and cover my butt. But he did say there are no more scales to Ocala via my route and as long as it wasn’t scanned yet, I should be fine.
I called my people and they said no. Just take it to yard. Couldn’t get hold of Brian I from Hausby (seller)
I just dropped it and blocked it good and left a few securements and took pics and emailed everybody.
Im home for 4 days. Screw em I wanted to do it, I’m just not taking the chance with FL DOT. The scale man wouldn’t give me a definitive yes. I still might end up doing it. That’s fineSoap stone, beastr123, SAR and 3 others Thank this. -
SAR, FerrissWheel, Tug Toy and 2 others Thank this.
