Hello everyone. I'm a homeless guy in Colorado that lucked out and was accepted by a trucking company with their own school in Missouri. I'm excited about climbing out of this rut but over the last few days some possible issues popped up that I have no idea how to address.
- If I'm homeless, how do I get a license? I was able to get the permit but I told the DMV my physical address hadn't changed (lost my place three months ago. Not proud of it.
- If I get the training and job out of state, what does that mean for the full license?

I’d stick with that address for a little bit. You state accepted it.
As soon as you get a little money. Get a Personal Mail Box Service. One in SD qualifies as a street address. No income tax either. Americas MailboxStonehjl, Aamcotrans, okiedokie and 3 others Thank this. -
Get a P.O. Box at a UPS Store, that way you can use their physical address on your CDL.
If you get a OTR job out of State, most companies let you keep your CDL from your Home State.
If you get a local CDL job, most companies want you to have the address of the State your local employment is in.Bean Jr., Bakerman, Vagabond82 and 1 other person Thank this. -
a lot of truckers use a mail forward service that gives you a physical address. The one that a lot use is in TX, @Chinatown mentioned it to me before.

South Dakota is one of the easiest places to set up domicile and has the added benefit of not having a street address. I set up my mailbox there with Dakota post in Sioux Falls. Arrived the night before and stayed at the motel 6 for 40 bucks. Got up at nine went to breakfast then over to Dakota post. And then to the dmv. Had everything done and my license in hand and was back at my hotel room before noon.
