Update ******
I did pull the trigger and bought the Volvo back in December 2018.
Used it without an issue about 8 months.
Started giving me DPF warnings so I had it fixed. Other than radiator cracked and a bad oil pressure sensor the truck has been great.ulenie Thanks this. -
What was involved in the DPF fix specifically?
I had to have a radiator around 500k and was told they pretty much all need it around then.
Glad it's been working out for you. -

I wouldn't touch ANYTHING from 08 to 15. And even then they are expensive to fix.
Had 2 emission trucks and will never have another. Parts and service are CRAZY expensive compared to your truck. If you want a newer truck look for a glider kit with a pre 2003 engine so no egr or any of the other alphabet soup attached.
A day cab would be even worse if you spend more time in town than on the highway. You will be doing forced regens parked waiting because it wont build up the heat or pressure do regens around town.
Edit;
Read the rest of it.. hope your "fix" keeps working and you dont have any engine issues. Parts are crazy, friend just did Injector's on his d13 and it was 9k by the time they were done. And it's still not working right. -
