Trans Am.....WHY!!

Hopefully you can get rolling soon. Are you going to have a dealer do the repairs or independent?

 

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Trans Am is self insured. I called Iowa 80 and got a written quote for a new bumper, including shipping. They wrote me a check immediately.

I had dash camera footage though. Trust me. That made all the difference in the world. There were no arguments and no delays. What could they say?

 

company I was leased to had a new england driver back into one of their company trucks in a truck stop, driver was sitting in the truck and saw it happen, new england driver denied it, new york state cops wouldn't do anything cause it happened on private property, they finally did get compensation but it took awhile. A buddy of mine got clipped at the fuel island by a new england truck, he was in his truck blowin the air horn like crazy and still got hit, the kicker was a driver trainer was sitting in the passenger seat, both said uh we didn't see you and didn't think the blowing horn was meant for them, go figure

 

Ouch. If I'm backing and I hear a horn, I stop backing until I get out and look. Would be my luck some tard in a tiny little RV or sprinter van squeaked in behind me as I was setting up, and is now parked in the place I was trying to back into, far enough into the hole that I can't see their nose.

 

FYI They will also send a 1099 for that amount at the end of the year.
