i watched this video a few times.

    1) the semi did not cross over the lines

    2) the dump driver got a bit close to the semi

    3) the dump driver panicked and swung the wheel

    4) the right steer blew due to the sudden turning of the wheel back and forth while the dump was swaying heavily

now, that WAS my regular route 5 nights a week.

and in so doing, i personally NEVER drove side by side with another truck around the curves.

had i still been working, i'm sure that by 9 PM when i got up there, the traffic would have still never fully recovered.

Semi trailer crossed over the line. In the first 5 or 10 seconds, that caused the dump truck to swerve

I don't know. I see the 133 video listed and there is no apparent problem other than the white semi getting somewhat close to the curve which I think is ok. Who knows.

The dump truck left his lane into the left lane when that black car changed lanes and that set up the swerving which progressively worsened rapidly. I don't think the dump truck was influenced by the semi.

The tunnel cam may have shown the semi drift left a bit too much. However I am not prepared to say that is the cause of the accident.

only from what i am able to see, even on a larger screen, the semi did not cross the line, but he did come close to riding it. i'll give anyone that.

but to me, the dump driver was too close to that very same line, and went into panic mode.

and if it is watched again, we can actually SEE the dump driver actually crossing the left dotted line, BEFORE he even gets close to the semi.

in any event, it happened. there was NO contact between the 2 trucks, that i was able to see, so i'd figure any blame for this will be on the dump driver.

I do see the semi on the white line. That said, the Dump truck driver really panicked and caused his own wreck. The driver to his left moved out of his way. So if he'd not kept over compensating, as well as locking up his breaks at the end. Which is the first thing you learn not to do. He'd not have had his tire blow or flipped. IMO

The tire is something that could have been prevented with some attention to it's pressure. Dumptrucks are not exactly DOT 100% inspection material. However she tried to put all the weight on it and thats that for the tire.

I see the tire hit the truck on right.
So technically he was involved. Not to have to mention he ran over it with drives.
He could’ve stopped, but in this day and time, that would’ve put him behind the elog, and his company would fire him, and then he too would be out of a job.

I think he was really heavy. Probably wasn’t paying attention at first and started to overcorrect. Had he not slammed the brakes he probably could have gotten her back.
