'08 cummins isx (deleted) recently had the head replaced along with fan (main) belt tensioner and belt. Since I've gotten the truck back, the belt squeaks almost constantly and worse when it's wet. It is driving me bonkers. The belt appears to track fine, it just makes a lot of noise.

Second problem is yesterday a nipple broke off of the coolant reservoir. I got it shut down pretty quick and didn't see the temp go up past normal (185-190). Just worried I'm missing something else that might be wrong.

Pulleys look ok. Not a lot of rust or anything. There's no idlers, just the tension, water, fan and alternator

Belt dressing is horrible for belts.
    Best to fix the problem.

Deere hunter and HoneyBadger67 Thank this.

It could be a weak or defective spring on the tensioner, belts usually squeal because they’re loose, (not enough tension) belt is glazed or not aligned with the other pulleys.

It could also be a bad bearing on the alternator, A/C compressor, p/s pump, air compressor or tensioner.

Deere hunter and jammer910Z Thank this.

The tensioner is the idler. Any squeal was usually the belt was loose. If it makes noise at idle, it should tell you where it's coming from. Don't use belt dressing, makes a mess.

I didn't notice any wear, all the ridges still appear defined
