Greetings all. First time post. My question is regarding my '91 L9000. No brake lights. I have read a few posts and checked all fuses and all is good. Everything works except the brake lights. Found the two (WHY?) switches. The three wire switch is working as it should, with juice to two wires and third one when i press brakes. The two wire switch has not juice to it. Can someone tell me if the system works off of both, or if not, which? Should the brakes work with one switch functioning? Why are there two? any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!! - Ron Z

One of them is your low air warning switch, the other is your brake light switch

Greetings all. Thank you all for your input, ideas and suggestions. Well, the problem was the wiring of the turn signal switch. Just for everyone's information, when you buy the Signal Stat TSS, you need realize that the colors of the wires are NOT standardized. There are at lease two color patterns available- WHY???? - and if you get one that is not compatible with your vehicle, all kinds of interesting things happen. Both color wire schemes can be downloaded on the net- so it takes a little work with a ohm meter to figure out which one you have. The colors are basically the same but the way they are connected is different. So, I hope this helps someone who might face this problem. Chasing the wiring demons is a most frustrating experience! Id rather be drug behind a runaway horse. Have not had so much fun since the hogs ate my little brother!
Thanks allbaha Thanks this.
