So I found a hole in one of my trailer airbags. After I replaced the airbag I listened to make sure it wasnt leaking. Heard this leaking on my truck. It's the rear driver side. Why is there an air quick connect there? Anyone have any ideas?
1st 2 pics are showing you where it is located
Pete 389. I dont think that matters though. I'm totally clueless on why theres a quick connect there. Maybe for a air pressure weight system? I have a air susp load gauge in the truck already
Wtf is this?? Leaking air

It looks like for the leveling valve , those airbags are way over inflated. If u ever notice when u drive over bumps and u hear the air kind of escaping it is ur leveling valve , leveling out the air in air bags on truck and trailer to keep ride height level. It looks like it malfunctioned and overinflated the bags . I had similar problem on my trailer last year where air was realesing air thru that line and bags was over inflated because leveling valve was broken. It is easy fix , it works basically like a toilet plunger

I’m guessing a port to connect a line for a pressure gauge for troubleshooting or its just an exhaust for the leveling valve.

Spray some soapy water on that push on conn. and bottom of leveling valve, if line has bubbles you may use a open end wrench to push in conn. and pull out line then cut off a 1/2 in. of the part of line that was stuck in conn., then put it back in conn. and run truck to build air up and spray it to ck for leaks, if leveling valve has air leaking out of vent on bottom all the time it needs to be replaced?

Actually, mine leaks(that valve in the picture) only when I have dumped all the air on my RGN when I chain up my 3rd axle and am raising it up.... but it stops after it has got to the correct/preset ride height.

Air leveling valve. Take rod loose put lever in center position, shouldn’t leak. If it leaks replace it. Check ride height, dealer can give you number, YouTube can show how to measure.

@pushbroom may know. The exhaust on mine is nearly parallel to the rod.

There was likely a exhaust hose there at the open quick connect. Keeps from getting dirt in the valve.
SmallPackage, pushbroom and nikmirbre Thank this. -
Its just the exhaust port on the leveling valve.
They come factory with a short inch or two inch of hose on the exhaust port. Truck was probably just settling and leveling out. If you leave the truck sit for 15 mins and it still leaks out there replace the leveling valveRideandrepair, 062, Wespipes and 3 others Thank this.
