Now corona has started to hit dispatch... been a slow week all around. Been about 2 loads a night and mostly small stuff for example after this load I’m heading back to the yard. It’s only 4K 87 going into two tanks and 1400 93...Load will be dropped by the time I finish yawning. Cool thing is the checks are still better then Schneider and you can’t beat being home early

Yeah, we're slow too, but we always are this time of year. I planned for it and have cash in the bank, so I can ride it out for a couple weeks.
I just wish the weather was decent so I could get some spring yard work done.

Just got back from my 6, seen that a couple drivers took a voluntary lay off and we have a few new policies in place . We gotta certify that we haven’t left the state or have any symptoms before each shift. And they have one of the shop guys come and sanitize the truck before each shift also ( door handles, steering wheel, radio things of that nature) work wise we’re still expected to get about 8 -10 hours a night. After being on the road all of last year I’m loving all this hometime. Since December I’m down about 20lbs shooting for another 80-100 lbs by the end of this year.

Yesterday I delivered 12k 87 to a station which is no big deal. Just considering the current economy i found it weird that my first load out today was 12k going to the same station.... The neighboring gas stations are going at about $1.49 while these guys are at 99¢. So here I am, little ole me trying to pull in to offload this gas.sat on the. Main Street for about 10 mins just waiting, pull in and the store owner wants me to call him. I noticed pulling in that they had a blue lid for off road which had been painted white. Which was my guess as to what he wanted to talk about. Bingo he just had the tank purged and cleaned. But also sold through most of the gas I brought yesterday.

Had a pretty interesting split today. One it was the first time I loaded 3 stops at once( no big deal but it was a first) Lots of details loading but very simple work. The terminal was one that had the old mechanical computers that you had to press 1 or 0 for yes and no. Also The lanes only had 1 gas arm. With diesel I needed to load 5 compartments under 4 different orders. Took ages. Got to office to get my 16 bols lol.
Knocked out my the first two stops and get to the third and One of our tow guys and a police officer are just chilling in the store kicking it complaining about it being nobody to pull over or tow and how hard it is to just sit on the clock getting paid to wait til the end of their shift.. I had to get away from them and their first world problems haha. Got around 10 hours a night this week Granted it’s been all small loads and taking just city roads to all stops.

I ended up moving out of Phoenix and up to a small town in Oregon. Still hauling milk, but paid by the hour now and dont have to work 14+ hour days with a 2 hour commute. ycompany does alot of differnt things. We have flatbeds, Milk haulers, log trucks, and reefers. Alot of the mills are closing down suddenly and suddenly we have almost a third of our fleet grounded. And now theres reports of milk slowing down(Not here yet, fortunately) Us milk guys are giving up our runs so the other guys can have work, but I fmilk slows down too, its pretty scary. Glad you're doing well, buddy

Saw a video where the facilities were pouring gallons and gallons of cream and milk down the drains cause of slow demand. Made a lot of milk farmers sad to see all that hard work just be poured down the drain.

Yesterday was a bit of a throwback to my otr days. Did a split then got a call that a station halfway across the state was out of fuel and we only had 3 drivers in the company working. Had about a 2 hour drive out about 10 miles north of Battle Creek. I’m sure it took up every bit of my 100 mile radius.. The station was out in the middle of nowhere so google maps didn’t have a updated scan of the station so it was a pull-up and throw your flashers on and figure it out type of situation. Now I got there at about 1230 at night and not a soul in sight.... Taking stuff on and off the truck was so loud haha. It also didn’t help that it was a station that you had to move the truck to hit all three holes .
