You can hear a lot of stuff in this industry...I have now determined that 99.385% of what I hear is false. Nothing anymore is true until my boss sends an email. Much easier to keep trucking this way.

Here’s our soon to be future. It will hit us hard and with the level of ignorance within this country, I wouldn’t be surprised if the CDC’s model of up to 1.7 million deaths Is accurate.

I got a call from the regional manager assuring me that they weren't closing as well....i believe I said that in my post. For anyone who bothered to read the entire thing. Believe it or not, I had the conversation. Because of the volatility of the employees statement I chose to take it at face value and make a phone call directly to the headquarters of Pilot. I'm not an idiot or someone who can be influenced easily by ########. That being said, no big corporation like Pilot is going to tell me straight up whether they are going to be closing its doors during something like what's going on right now...on the other hand, the employee I spoke with could very well suffer from IDGAF syndrome about her job serving slices of pepperoni pie, and her wishful thinking turned into a thoughtless vomment. I only wish each of you to be ready for what could be coming. From my point of view, as a driver, father, son, and overall general concerned citizen..I haven't seen things get even a slightly bit better. Just prepare yourself, that's all this thread was about. Take what you want from it.

I’m just not convinced that the millennials working at the truck stops now are going to be “doing it for their country” when the crap hits the fan.. The old folks working would probably be told to stay home.
Remember, everything right now being done is to try and reduce the burden on our healthcare system. There isn’t enough beds or equipment to deal with the inevitable onslaught of patients.Lookn2score Thanks this.
