Hey everyone!
I just bought a moving company and it came with a 2007 international 4300 truck with 24ft box.
I'm in Arizona and have no idea the rules or regulations or anything. I'm completely clueless.
Do my guys need DOT certification or CDL?
And what would I need to be able to move people from State to state?
Sorry if this has been asked a lot already I'm just completely clueless and wanted to see what the pros say.
Thanks!
Need advice for company I just purchased

@Dave_in_AZ can probably help.
That looks like a non-cdl truck, but I'm no expert on that. -
I know it's a free country and all, but it seems pretty haphazard to just willy-nilly buy a business without having the first clue about how to operate it legally...
Is there any information you can get from the person you purchased it from??? Are there employees whom have made the transition? If so, perhaps they could help.SoulScream84, buddyd157, spindrift and 9 others Thank this. -
Completely clueless is exactly the way to go about purchasing a business! Good luck!
And I do hope you get some useful information out of thisWespipes, buddyd157, Black_Yeshua and 7 others Thank this. -
If the truck's gross loaded weight is 26k or less, no CDL is needed. HOS also do not apply.
olddog_newtricks, x1Heavy and 650cat425 Thank this. -

With that said I won't get into the interstate/intrastate thing. I have no idea if the HOS rules apply intrastate at this location.
