Life has a funny way of shaking out. When I was looking to leave FedEx I had applied for apprenticeship in IBEW to do outside lineman work and work toward's a Journeyman's license. Of course on Saturday I got a letter in the mail scheduling me for an aptitude test.

A week after I got my CDL. General contractor called me to come to work... it was too late by then. Plus at the time I was only getting like $14$/hr. (No OT either)
To be honest, I like truck driving more anyway. Even with the BS that comes with it. LOLSirscrapntruckalot, BigDog Trucker and McUzi Thank this. -

Touch any cylinders yet?

One of the safety systems attached to a pumping system at my yard requires constant pressure supplied from an inert gas tank for the pump to operate. Depending on the stock levels, they'll use an Argon cylinder or a Nitrogen cylinder.
Boss asked me to roll one in from the dock over to the system and swap it out after I got back and couldn't get the pump to start earlier this week. -
Roger that. I’m cruising in one of those cylinder straight trucks. KW T880. Going on 6 months. M-f 6/630- 330/430. I like reading about your experience, sounds a lot like my company. Same thing, boss trusts his guys to get the job done and doesn’t say anything when we bs and wash up on our trucks. Ours get washed once a week by a service which is a first for me. Nice coming in the next day after the whole fleet gets cleaned. They do a decent enough job for me.
