I will have a look tomorrow morning. I was suspecting something was off with the fuel filter to. This particular model has a water separate er aswell though.

Blue smoke is fuel. Water in the fuel, fuel injector bad, intake/exhaust value cracked.

Water is in diesel everywhere. Could be a fuel injector but I would bet water is in the filter or tanks

Usually don't worry about blowby til oil consumption or low power/fuel mileage get horrible.

Shutter sound could be IVA's, low fuel pressure or even an injector starting to go. Any codes when hooked to a laptop? Whats the fuel pressure at?

    Shawn2130 and spsauerland Thank this.

Iva through a code and was replaced, haven’t hooked up a computer and fuel pressure gauge is out of whack so not sure. Will
Be throwing a new head/injectors etc etc on soon though. Would a bad injector cause blue smoke though? Always thought blue=oil

Blue smoke is also an injector not spraying right, dribbling.

Diesel is a type of oil.
