I hope so. I'm across the country from home. My decision.....before the quarantines started. Hoping I can get some thing headed that way on Monday.

I wonder what the shelter in place will do for the homicide rates in our nice cities???

I'm on my 10 at The Pilot in Orygun. Delivered my virus profiteering load to a Kroger DC, reloaded, now on the way south.

I booked a load Thursday for an afternoon pick up in Stockton, CA. Had enough hours left to grab it and park in one of my hideaway places. Light load with one drop N. of Sacramento early Friday morning and final in Oregon Monday morning.

The jerks at the shipper mixed all the product between the 2 drops instead of separating it out. The receiver had to painstakingly go through each pallet, separate the orders, re-palletize the goods and reload my trailer. I don't do many extra drop loads like that, however, I don't remember that ever happening to me that way before.

Receiving manager told me it was the second load in 2 days that same shipper had sent that way. Which I suspect is due to the overwhelming pressure to get stock out now, being shorthanded and perhaps thinking they'll let someone else deal with it?

I did get a few hours detention and still made it home last night.

By the way, there were a LOT of Californians hauling arse going north on I-5 into Oregon yesterday.

So much for the lock down!

they're never going to get control of this thing with the public until the federal government steps in and shuts down private travel on interstates at the minimum !!!

My brother in law just applied to work in Kroger. Has (had) a successful business making corporate and wedding videos for the last 10 years. Nice little office, couple of employees, 300k house in a nice suburb. All his work got canceled and no one knows when it's gonna be back.
His wife is also out of work and they have 5 kids to feed.

Things are starting to get ugly

    PPDCT Thanks this.

What sucks is if they made over 99k in 2018 then they will get nothing in the form of Gov assistance. If they made under 75k they would get $5400. That’s the numbers I’m seeing anyway that are proposed. If they made between 75k and 99k they would get $3700 I believe.

Don’t hold me to that but I won’t be too far off on those numbers from the proposals ive been reading about. Aka... most of us won’t get a #### thing. :(

Never mind the house payment, truck payment, insurance payment, etc.

Sad thing is, most people losing work prefer work over handouts any day of the week.

I remember the emotional and mental anguish of having the rug pulled out from underneath me and my construction business in 2008.

    It ain't fun...

We'll all survive this, one way or the other.
