This is after a couple months.

    After being sprayed...

The binders now look like above after a week. Moved like its new again.

The trailer side box is not the best box for holding chains and binders. They get wet inside including road salt etc.

    After a spray of T8, it’s good.

Loudtom: the first photo is the partial picture of the side box under the deck of the stepdeck.

It’s not very big. Just enough room for 8 binders and chains.

It used to be on a Liebherr wheel excavator.

PB here as well. Every once in a while, about twice a year, I would take them all to the car wash, clean them really well, dry them really well, and spray with PB.

I don’t know about as a lubricant, but I’ve seen that stuff work wonders at breaking seized up bolts loose.

It does that too. Great stuff that is easy to control the spray and doesn't get sticky in the summer sun and heat.

I use 3-in-1 oil until the little bottle is empty, then I refill it with transmission fluid. The nozzle on the bottle is great for dripping oil onto the ball bearings in the handle and both oils are 'drier' than other oils so they don't really gunk up. I've tried all sorts of other sprays, lubes, smears, etc. I'll stick with 3-in-1 and/or trans fluid.

Unscrew binder all the way, take your grease gun (if you have one) and put 2 pumps in the end of each side and put back together. Good for at least 6 months. I also keep oil squirt gun and squirt the ratcheting part every month or so.

    D.Tibbitt and misterG Thank this.
