Is it a variable gateway? Electronic or pressure activated?

Also 14L detroit or cat?

Sounds like a wastegate problem but hard to tel . Could be a sensor. I had a cat that did that and it was a boost sensor.

It wouldn't do anything when i gave it throttle. Hesitate and then "kick in" and go. Other than that it ran fine. Idle normal etc...

I actually had two codes. Atmospheric pressure sensor and the boost sensor. I changed the boost sensor and both codes went away.
