Just curious.Does anyone wake other drivers to load/unload at shipper/Consignee?I've refrained from doing this since an intoxicated prime driver produced a 357 bout 15 years ago at Mansville in Jax.

I dont unless the customer/shipper specifically asks me to knock on the drivers door.

Everyone's schedule is different, I'd hate to wake a driver up who's appointment time isnt for another 4 hours or so now he cant fall back asleep.

    Hell no.

    Let the sleeping dogs lie.

I generally do not approach other truckers unless they are in the drivers seat and have been invited up to the fuel tank.

I do NOT do well when people hammer on my berth or door. Its not pretty. And thus I do not want that on anyone else.

Maybe two or three times Ive had to knock on someone and ask him or her to move. Feeding the cookie monster does not always go well. But they moved generally. At gunpoint too. That does not bother me too much. Point guns at me all day. Use it or put the silly thing away and move it. lol.

I’m not their mom or their alarm clock, if you aren’t smart enough to set an alarm I’m going around ya.

Back when I first started driving, and the places I went, a line would form overnight waiting to be
unloaded in the morning. It was normal and expected of you to wake driver that was "first in line".
If you didn't wake anyone up and cut the line, all hell would break loose. However, that was a different
time when drivers used to help each other. Current time, I won't do it anymore. Too many idiots out
    here.
