I am a part time hot shot. As I am off I have been wondering how big rigs are getting food, water, drink etc.
Restaurants in PA are closed for sit down and some have carry out. But thats it. Was wondering if there is anything the public could do to help? Any input?

You can get food to go. I was at TA in NJ they closed restaurant at 8pm because of NJ law. So you only had premade stuff in the store untill restaurant opened in the morning. Love's in PA has Wendy's you can get anything you want just have take it with you.

I have a microwave and a full refrigerator with enough food for a week.
Truck stop food should be the last resort even on a regular week

Harder in a hotshot, but lots of drivers these days are cooking in the truck. Last night I had a nice steak, and I had some sweet Italian sausage for lunch today. With a good enough inverter you can have a whole kitchen. Cleanup is annoying though. Truck stops hate it, but hey, it's a good thing to be prepared these days.

    PE_T and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this.

Any restaurant food I want requires me to go in and pick it up.

Good fortune shines on me as I've been able to order cheese curds twice this week already.

Don't forget about the apps lots of food places have nowadays to. Curbside at a lot of places if you order via app or website. Here on the sandbar the seafood restaurants are delivering in order to keep people fed.

Lots of ways to find food, I was surprised how many places are open, an willing to do their part.

Be safe, an don't starve, there are options!

Sirscrapntruckalot - I'm getting in shape. Round is a shape you know.

Most truckers stop at Walmart every week or two to grab some food. Some have mini fridges, an electric cooler, or even an ice chest. You can get yourself a small butane/propane stove and cook your food. You probably don’t want to connect anything to a vehicle that has less than 3 batteries. Running a fridge or an electric burner can damage or quickly shorten the life of your batteries. Many semi trucks have 4 batteries and even an APU that can turn on and charge the batteries when they’re low.

I've also opened a thread in this forum with places doing their part. So look there for places to get food.
