Gang... NOBODY knows how many are infected now. There aren’t enough test kits to test everyone needing it so the number of confirmed cases is FAR lower than actual. I agree with LTL Bull and Western Plains that the OP doesn’t really understand what he is writing about... funny that he feels everybody else are the “morons”.

the thing is they have to go by the numbers they have and extrapolate based on that relevant data. To an extent that is why you have some docs saying one thing and others another. They are making their statements based on their personal models based on their experience. I really am not saying this is the end of the world. I don't want people panicking and running out to get more TP. But I would like people to use a bit more discretion during this outbreak to help save lives.

So then they were not included in the sample size in the math i given on the first post.
If i get sick today and don't get tested and don't go to the hospital and just self quarantine in my truck and recover on my own and no one else knows. From a record keeping documentation stand point it is as if it never happened. Cause no one but me knows about it.

The numbers i used to determine death rate was from confirmed documented cases. Deaths and recovery.

A large enough sample size and you can determine the death rate.

    We will recover.

The looming recession may prolong recovery, but it will recover.

Statictics are nice, but they often leave out other influences or scope.

We could be infected but not yet showing symptoms there is no way of knowing and there lies the problem.

One article shows that it destroys cells particularly lung tissue and others. The body either has a young powerful immune system or a old tired one complicated by other existing problems. If I get it I will live or die. It matters not. And at the same time I would be lying if life did not matter.

I stated yesterday for those who are sick the battle is won or lost at the incubators. The many who have healed may face another wave of reinfection later this year or during the next two.

It has been proven to infect all ages. However I suspect children are carriers again due to the strong immune systems. One presented a theory that nursing homes were wiped out when all those grand kids visited during incubation and infectious periods long before we are where we are today.

As the days go by we are learning more. Little by little. Lose your smell and taste? bingo, get tested. Its not been proven yet. But a collective experience pointing to that as a early clue to go with the others we know about.

Arkansas has tested as of this morning roughly 1000 negative. 190 positive (Was 116 or so several days ago) and hundreds being self monitoring or investigated. We are finally used up Federally issued PPE and Masks. Starting to see if we can get more from the National Strategic Stockpile and looking internationally for more.

Sooner or later we will need US Military Field Hospital Units to come set up when we get docs and nurses too tired or too sick and fall like flies. We might even draft and train war time only type civilians for specific medical work to take the load off the nurses. Its been done before.

I consider myself very aware of whats going on, also I am aware of whats possible. Pictures of trashcans full of ashes (How many cremated humans does it take to fill a 30 gallon stainless steel trash can? 50? 100? in ashes) the first week or two at Wuhan as their crematories went all out 24/7.

Trucking is the front lines with this thing. Without trucking we have no Country or Society. To me they are angels all. Including flipflops even or broken english.

We will get through this in time. However we are not what we were before this started, just like what we were before 9-11. Thats lost.

This virus is much more deadly than H1N1.
