That is such a misleading article.
I really don't do anything different out here.
Sure, I may not stop in at a fast food now. But there are other options.
Walmart's are still as accessible as they always have been, which is where I buy my food. In fact the parking lots are not quite as full these days with so many staying home.
If you rely on fast food and restaurants for all your eating you will have to change your habits by preparing your own meals.
It sometimes takes more time, so plan your trips around it.
And you will probably get a lot healthier as a result, which isn't a bad thing for a lot of truckers.IDriveATruck Thanks this. -
The advice I heard that I like the best is to treat the situation as if you have the virus and are trying to prevent anyone else from getting it from you. I do not touch anything unless I have to. I tend to use the sleeve of my hoodie to pull open doors when I have to. I use my credit card instead of cash to prevent the exchange of currency, both from me to the cashier, and the change from the cashier to me. If I use my card, only thing I have to touch is the number pad. As soon as I am done with that, I go wash my hands again and 'hang' my bag from my arm while I'm at the side. Also, have a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my truck and use it immediately when I get in my truck.
Too many folks are getting very sick and dying from this. All the experts advice that so many new patients will be needing serious medical help that they expect the medical facilities and staff to be overwhelmed. Anything we can do to at least slow down the rate of infection, could possibly save someone's life.Just passing by and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -

All the panic and precautions, when most people only have mild symptoms.
I am 64 years old, and I am not worried about it at all.
Sure I might die from it. So? I could die from the flu as well.
If I get it I will either kill it or it will kill me. If I kill it then I am immune from then on.
I have not had even a cold or flu in the past 7 years or so. Maybe it is time my immune system got a real workout to keep me healthy for the next 7 years.lynchy and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -
and this is why we have 46k cases right now and 100 people died from it yesterday. Don't worry though it will get much worse..Last edited: Mar 24, 2020

What they did say yesterday, is the 1st cruse ship they purposely left some of the rooms uncleaned just to test how long the virus stays on the surfaces. Yesterday they stated as of 17 days later they are still finding the virus on the uncleaned surfaces. They also said is the rooms that were deep cleaned it was effective..
Coronavirus was found on surfaces in the cabins of a Japanese cruise ship 17 days after passengers disembarked, according to a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Monday, raising the possibility that the virus can remain viable for much longer than previously believed.
Genetic material from coronavirus, technically known as SARS-CoV-2, “was identified on a variety of surfaces in cabins of both symptomatic and asymptomatic infected passengers up to 17 days after cabins were vacated on the Diamond Princess but before disinfection procedures had been conducted,” says the study.
Public Health Responses to COVID-19 Outbreaks on Cruise Ships...
“We found that viable virus could be detected in aerosols up to 3 hours post aerosolization, up to 4 hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to 2-3 days on plastic and stainless steel,” reads a study released by researchers from the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease on March 11.
The CDC said that its findings call for more research on the viability of coronavirus on surfaces.
“Although these data cannot be used to determine whether transmission occurred from contaminated surfaces, further study of fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 aboard cruise ships is warranted,” the researchers said.Last edited: Mar 24, 2020
