Where are you getting your numbers? According to worldometer.info we have had 800ish deaths in the USA to date, with 225 new deaths yesterday.

I don’t see every home being delivered food and water and necessities for the purpose of survival. The reality is people need to do what they need to do to feed their wife and 3 year old. What you fail to realize is that every American isn’t being hand fed by someone.

‘If a 24 year old man with a wife and a 3 year old is low on funds and his job is delivering wood locally and he has a job, he is gonna work to get “his”. He isn’t gonna wait for help that hasn’t arrived yet

A man does what he has to do. He has to take matters into his own hands He can’t wait for help sometimes. Sometimes he needs to act now

I'm not going to say that flattening the curve isn't vital.
    However.
You, @crocky , seem to be saying that I should vet every load? That I should consult my crystal ball to determine if it's a worthy commodity? Zucchini yes. Twinkie no.
Arrive at Nucor. Not a coil. But that could have been transformed into a medical device. Nope instead it's Steel trusses. Now what. Is it for a medical building? Take it. Is it a cow shed? That's food eventually. I guess that's a go also. A nail salon? Leave it, not worthy.
Do you see where I'm going with this? If I'm healthy enough to do my job and the shipper and the consignee are able to do their job, I'm going to continue to play my little role in society.
Yes people are going to die.
People always die. Life is a terminal disease. My rules are be nice, don't panic, help if you can.
Being reckless, careless, irresponsible, these have always been bad ideas. In driving and in living. I don't believe that I am being any of those.

No dude.. I'm saying guys hauling flatbed, cars, non essential #### should go the #### home.. You know there is not much going on a flat deck for instance that is essential to society for the next 3 weeks.. unless it's power grid or generators for hospitals ect..

You #### well know if you are hauling stuff that is mission critical.. if you aren't act ####ing responsibility.. That's what I'm saying.. I don't know what you haul, but if it's not mission critical do the right thing. If it is stay safe and hopefully the guys who shouldn't be out there don't infect you.

At this point at least yes ####ing Twinkies and zucchinis are essential because it's about keeping the food shelves stocked so people don't freak out and start over buying everything else. You know like the current TP crisis.. People aren't gonna freak out if they can't buy a new pair of shoes or some rims for their car.. but if they start seeing constant empty grocery shelves then yes they will 100% buy up everything they can get their hands on.. Same with fuel.... If for some reason there is a cut in supply of something we don't know about right now all those extra trucks out there are eating up fuel that might be needed.

You can't just look at right this minute you need to be looking 3 to 4 weeks down the road as #### is shut down what you are doing today can #### us then..

You realize there are already millions of people out there right now making that sacrifice to help stop this #### while you are right now making the argument that you are more important than them.. How much longer will those people be out of work because this virus get s out of control because people like you didn't listen when we were told to go home?

Is the #### you generally haul on your truck mission critical for society for the next 3 weeks or a month? If not go the #### home. It's really that simple. If it's mission critical #### then by all means stay the #### out but everyone else needs to step back so we can let those guys run and keep the truck stops open..

The workers at the truck stops do not need to be needlessly exposed to people who shouldn't even be out there right now...

I've been watching the John Hopkins website for numbers but the 160ish deaths from yesterday came from a news article. It might have been a older article before all deaths were updated if it was actually 225.

What one person thinks of what should or shouldn't be hauled is their opinion, and we all know what opinions are worth.

I either share your viewpoint or I don't. It's that simple.
