TO ALL DRIVERS) Have your company send a message to the sippers/recv's about social distancing they are still having us line up like cattle for paper work..please let all be safe not just office personal thanks
-
I made hand sanitizer and wipes for my drivers. Can’t find any masks. There are no masks nor sanitizer for sale around here for at least a month now.
Be careful when loading/unloading and at the truck stops. Otherwise, in the cab driving it’s about as good of social distancing as it gets!
Edit: Far as paperwork we’ve always used thick reusable clear folders to keep it safe. Sorta the opposite now, helps keep the germs contained. To answer the OP’s question, other then some simple things like this, I’d say no. If you are worried about it then there is always the option of quitting and start knitting. lol Maybe make some masks to donate to truckers.Last edited: Mar 26, 2020

If a company deems you essential but puts this lack of effort into keeping the employees safe, you are not essential, you are expendable. -
What PPE? I wear gloves when I fuel and wash my hands. I'll get breakfast at whatever chain is available, if I'm too lazy to make my oatmeal. I'll hand you my pen to sign the BoL. I don't care. I'm not living in fear and making myself miserable just because there's a bug going around. I don't get flu shots. I don't take any, ANY, medication not even aspirin. I haven't been to a 'real' doctor in over 12yrs. I eat (somewhat) sensibly, exercise moderately and try not to smoke too much. If a once-every-50yrs bug is gonna take me out...come at me. I ain't leaving without a fight. I'm also not going to cower in a "safe space".

Without a doubt...100% YES they are putting us at risk. I work for the federal government @ USPS and we are considered essential personnel, just like the hospital workers and we're dropping like flies right now. We got over 300 confirmed cases, over 2000 quarantined, and a few that have passed away all ready from the virus. It's getting so bad that we're asking retirees to come out of retirement to help out.
There's only so many cleaning supplies, masks and gloves that are available right now and we're putting our lives in danger everyday serving the public. If the white house had any common sense, they need to do what they did in WWII by forcing auto makers to make tanks and military supplies and make some of these companies start making all these masks, gloves, cleaning supplies and respirators in HIGH VOLUME so we can actually have a fighting chance. Desperate times call for desperate measures...and I would say a total collapse of the economy sounds pretty desperate to me. -
I still see Walmart’s and grocery stores packed full . The media already got called out more than once for using footage of a operating room not even in the US and saying it was in New York . When they got caught it was “oops a editing error”
I’m really seeing this as 75% political agenda and media scare tactics 25% virus . I really think this is noting more than a plan to shake the economy up and wipe out small business while keeping China happy since they have the US by the beans when it comes to medication manufacturing and other goods .
tensions are gonna start to sky rocket , more families are going to get more angry it’s gonna come to a head soon and you will suddenly see “we found the cure and we got it beat”Capacity Thanks this.
