I am new to using DAT or any load boards for that matter. I am wondering why some loads have a zero under the TRIP column while most other loads show a an actual number to tell you how many miles the trip will be. Thanks in advance for your help.
What does "0" mean under TRIP on DAT load board?

A lazy Broker who has been tapping the keyboard too long.
Its also a lure to get you to call them how many miles does that pay and how much? Once they have you on the hook...Western flyer and Lite bug Thank this. -
Are you talking about the zero beside Nashville in this screen shot?
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Actually no, the 0 I'm asking about would be under TRIP where the 411 is on this screen cap.
-
I haven’t seen any of them. Unless it picks up and delivers in the same city.
PE_T, Opendeckin, Lite bug and 1 other person Thank this. -
If the miles for a load has a zero on it that means no one knows publicly how many miles it runs and pays. You would have to call the broker to learn more. -
Here's what it looks like:
The blue 0 is what I'm asking about. It sits under the TRIP column. -

Because the origin and destination is the same city.
Broker doesn’t input mileage, its DAT software that dies that. Don’t rely on it sometimes it may show air miles or non truck routes. -
OK, that all sounds logical. Thanks for the feedback.
