1) '13 Volvo D-13 that was beaten up in the oil patches in W. Texas. Repair bill$ cut my profits. She's running now, but MY recent lay off, looking to sell my big blue for about what's left on the note ($22k). She's solid, just needs some repairs that keep me outta pocket (AC, hole in muffler, APU minor repair)
2) Go back to co. driver, make the money & run etc. (apprx 9 yrs exp. van, tank, HM, flat, refer, been there done em). Im currently in W.Texas, thinking of back 2 Vegas area. Though NV doesn't pay as well. Thinking of what ever works, single man
3)As Im thinking of selling as "TRADE IN" (upgrade) a viable option?
Thanks in advance...

Once in a while it's better to keep a vehicle you know exactly whats what rather than take on a vehicle that you don't know whats what.

Sell it now if you can and go company for awhile. If the economy gets as bad as I think it will you could buy a much nicer truck for 22K 6 months from now. Cash is king in hard times.
MaxzRig Thanks this. -
Good luck getting 22k for your truck , the used truck market has been in the toilet for quite a while now .
I have a pristine 13 cascadia with fresh overhaul and probably couldn't get over 20 for it . -

...22k for volvo that needs ton of work and it's 2013 ...you have to stop smoking that immediately !

How many miles on the truck?

I have a '14 with 483K on it, with repeated injector issues. That cost alone, with the possibility of other DPF problems would make me say to unload it while you can.

Wot engine to go with that 13?
I am not buying
If you owe bank 1000 you have a problem. If you owe bank a billion they have a problem and may not be still existing after the smoke clears.
Defaulting has started already, credit cards, mortgages and rents in particular and so on. Many are thinking< HA no evictions. No rent. Landlords are going crazy. Not to mention car loans and student loans. (Thats one thing I draw line at. We paid Dear Uncle Sam about 54000 total to be 100% paid off in student loans with interest in 2013 and be ###### if congress wants to whistle off and vaporize 1.5 trillion in student loans across the board.
