First off no need to move if you want to make good money in the tanker world.
Second stay away from food grade especially if you want to stay local.
Plenty of hazmat tanker outfits in your area are $30+per hr with O.T.

Having run just about it all I'll give you my take on the best / cleanest work to my not so favorite.
#1 cryogenics
#2 fuel delivery (for stations)
#3 chemicals
#4 oil (refined first/ crude at the bottom)
