Truck is an 02 Pete 379 with air trac
Noticed something quirky. The rear tandem yoke is off center by an inch to the left from the front diff yokes and rest of the drivetrain. The rear axle itself is plum and true with the frame as well as the front diff.
Maybe you can tell from the picture

After a careful thought and examination of that picture, I feel the shaft between the axles here... is not quite right.

If the camera you used is resting on the front axle center looking aft towards the trailer etc. The shaft does not look right.

My first question before anything is what did you do to it? Or better rephrased... why are we looking at that today? What happened?

i installed all new wear plates on my air trac back in september. i shut down operations a couple months ago to build my house. Today was nice so i decided to check driveline angles which i put off. I have the spicer anglemaster.
All my driveline angles are within 1 degree except for the front diff going to the rear diff. The issue that i posted was evidant 3 years ago when i bought the truck but i didnt read into it becuase it always ran good with no unusual noises. But im a perfectionist and looked at a buddies truck today and didnt really see his off center

Some are set up slightly off center. Same as the shaft not being straight up/down.
Track rods (from the frame to the diff in line with the diff) set up how left or right the axle is with shims.
Measure from the edge of the rim to the frame on both sides, if its even, don't worry about it.

Up and down is 5 degrees off so it should be no more than 3 degrees off
ok sounds good. Yeah did track rods and added shins where needed to get the same distance between both. So yeah I have it aligned. Also measured from the frame to be sure both aligned off frame as well

Inter-axle driveline is usually a broken back set-up, not parallel. Broken+Back+Arrangement.jpg

How about them U bolts back there on the left side of the picture where the suspension is. One of them looks like its not too tight. I could be wrong.
