Yep, and some shippers/receivers are doing their part by asking drivers to put the BOLs in the back of the trailer.

Truck drivers are definitely not immune.
What is worse, the average driver is 57 years old, a male, smokes, is overweight, and has sedentary lifestyle. All of the above are RISK FACTORS for a poor outcome.
When covid hits the long distance driver, he may be a thousand of miles away from home without even a residence to fall back on.
Please BE CAREFUL and stay out of trouble as much as you can!joshuapowell61 Thanks this. -
Problem is, as an essential worker, if you shut down without a positive test, you're not eligible for benefits. Might even get fired. So everybody is going to run till they get sick.
Also seen reports of drivers refusing to go to NY. Afraid of getting sick or better rates elsewhere, who knows.
And have seen reports of workers refusing to show at the food plants. The real fun starts when it gets inside that supply chain.
Nice catch-22s all around, starve today or starve tomorrow. -
Hopefully the days of cramming 20 drivers in a little alcove waiting to check in are over.
In fact, there's a whole bunch of bs that needs to go away and never come back, maybe this is our opportunity.joshuapowell61, Just passing by, nredfor88 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wonder about how this supposedly began in a Chinese 'wet' meat market. If so, the Virus evolved or mutated in an environment of animals stacked on eachother in extreme close quarters.
Most of the time, a Virus in the wild probably wouldn't be evolved to kill it's host so fast, but in that environment there were host animals crammed together, so why not multiply aggressively?
Just wondering if this is why Social Distancing may be far more important than just trying not to spread it, but if infected hosts grouped together lead the Virus to work in a much more aggressive way. Or maybe this is a big reason New York is such a disaster.
Sadly, this also makes me think of the Chicken trailers I see in my job. I think America has it's own Wet Market and it's dangerous. Not to say I'm going Vegan here, but that Factory Farming is probably just as bad.joshuapowell61, Qbf594 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -

This was told by a high up at Johnson & Johnson. -
