UPS recruiting video. Chicago location

Can't look back but I would have been w brown 28 yrs this fall if I would have stayed on.
Hindsight being 20_20 and all.
What I remember most was the sheer number of managers per driver and boy they used to watch the guys hard.
But I was young and trucking jobs were plentiful so I left after a year to another union private carrier across the road from the n.e. mpls hub.
Wonder if I'd be retired now...
Good gig for a young man or woman.

 

This place is massive and hires all the time . It's right off the 294 in Hodgkins

 

Compared to my local terminal which probably has not hired anybody in 86 years

 

That terminal will 99.9% never, ever hire a feeder driver off the street. Those are retirement jobs for the package car drivers.

 

Same in my little town, maybe 1/2 a dozen delivery vans, couple semi's. Saw'r one of them new brown Kenelworths t'other day,,,

It’s always a good thing when you get more money than you thought you were getting. One of the first things I was told at Buster was that money will never be an issue here. He wasn’t lying.

 

It's crazy here. I already don't have money problems, and I have almost a $9 per hour raise coming later this year.
