Someone’s hard work was for nothing

Hearing about people who do stupid #### like this makes me wonder why we don't start building sanitariums again. Low security jails for people who simply cannot behave in a civil society.

 

We do have sanitariums. Maryland runs three that I am aware of.

The woman doing 35000 in damage or destructing should be billed that amount and made to repay it however long it takes her to do it in her life.

I refuse to accept that stores will install plexiglass floor to ceiling in front of the precious cabbages and tomatoes. However as I write this we are building new shields for cashiers at Walmart. Surely they are much more valuable than 35000 dollars in produce.

If I wanted to take another step further I can probably try to say the coughing lady did far more than just ruin 35K in produce. She made a situation in which her local town, county or city be unable to be able to buy food for what they require to dinner tonight for many people. So in a roundabout way she can be treated as if she made war on fellow citizens so to speak in a destructive manner.

What I hate about the whole thing is probably my own thinking and memories of running Food products in reefers for a week across these United States in my own life and work to get it there so people on the other side of the USA can buy and enjoy these good things to eat. And here comes a kook for lack of a better word destroying that product and indirectly making my week's of work making sure that gets across the USA irrelevant and wasted. Sure I can go back to Yakima and reload for the replacement product or Nogales or whatever. Be another load next week to the same store.

Then what? Until the next copycat seeking attention coughing on that stuff too?

Maybe I stop hauling foods and instead haul medicines that they will be using to treat all these people who cannot not cough on food items. I don't know.

 

This just upset me so badly. Wasted food. People are hungry. People struggling get food and supplies. What a dumb #####

 

Sure takes a crisis to bring out the best in people,,,I know a trucking forum is no place for religion, but I wonder if G-d is really pissed?

 

Sanitariums? I was thinking more like call a local farmer to bring a horse over to the store, then tie them by their leg to the horse and let it drag them around the parking lot at top speed while taking a cool video to post to Facebook.

I understand that, but I figure there's something wrong in the brain of anyone that will do what that woman did. But she didn't actually kill or maim anyone. Some people simply have no 'limiter' between their thoughts and actions.
