And away we go,,,,I'm sorry, we must remember, this is an informational site, it's just we hear this time and time again. If the person can't pass a hair test, which I don't think is very common, they still smoke, and are only holding off for a month until their urine clears, then it's fill another one. They can probably squeak through the cracks for a while, but just not a good idea today. If there's any kind of accident, it's automatic urine test, at fault or not they're screwed anyway.

With all the business closures happening right now, we better prepare ourselves for a surge of interesting characters coming out of the woodwork, wanting to become truckers

LOL. I was at orientation with an ax-murderer, I think. He looked like a possom; beady little eyes close together, grey pigmentation around his eyes. Every time I looked back and happened to glanced at him, he was giving me daggers. Weird! Probably an okay guy once you get to know him (I hope). :D

D.Tibbitt and Kyle G. Thank this.

I have slowed down on these "Friends" who know already that they are living a lifestyle that is incompatible with trucking today. They have a choice to make. They can continue to partake in the activities that create the situation of not being able to test clean against Trucking or they can clean themselves up and become truckers without worry against any kind of testing.

Ive already faced that choice way back in the 1980's when certain friends made availible drugs that were something else in their day. (There were several) I had to restructure my life to exclude them for a while if not pernamently in order to continue trucking in those days. From what I understand they did well in life more or less.

If someone in life who holds licensing or is engaged in work related activity that is really important and actively is tested for drugs and drinking as part of that work, having friends who enable or bring in drugs or drinking (Or both) into that person's life is a form of danger to that person's livelhood. If they were truly friends they would not continue that activity.

Thats all I have to express here. These kinds of topics do not go well sometimes and its strictly looking at what is allowed or not allowed in trucking. Not a blanket thought about choices all of us make in life. There was a awful lot of drugs and drinking in my world when I was a baby and growing up. Had my first smoke at 7, drink at 8 and going on 30 by 12. Its messed up.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
