I'm lobbying Congress for more rigid testing and retesting for unsafe, reckless truck drivers that endanger all our lives when we try to enter the freeways. They are a menace.

My CDL renews in April and I had an appointment 2 weeks ago which was cancelled when the Sh** hit the fan. Tried to stop by the CDL DMV in west Sacramento yesterday and it was completely closed. Was kind of worried about other states honoring the renewal extension until I read this thread. Thanks for posting it.

I just remember that last time I went to DMV (around 2016) I was switching back to my old Calfornia CDL number after having lived in Florida for a few years. Maybe that is why I had to take all the written endorsement tests again. I didn't have any tickets or points against me. Hopefully I won't have to go through that again this time.
If anyone is able to get an appointment after they open back up again, please post on here how you did it. Before everything closed down I even had a second backup appointment I had made using the automated telephone system. On that system they didn't as your name, phone number or anything. It just gave you a confirmation number.
If I go online right now via the web appointment system it still shows I have an appointment in april. Using this: DMV Appointments under "View or Cancel Appointment" even though the lady I got ahold of the other day said all those were supposed to be cleared off the system.Last edited: Mar 29, 2020
