I am surprised they dont give yu directions on the qualcom rather than having to call and write them down...

George if the truck will not pass a leaks test durung the pretrip than by Roehls standards you cannot drive it. If it does pass then even though it leaks it is still operable according to DOT

Roehl's directions are simply horrible. Calling usually works. The only surefire way is to use Google Maps.

Hey...I feel your truck pain. When I started with another well know carrier in 2006 every truck they gave me was a pos. However the worst one was the one that as the interior warmed up it smelled like someone had DIED in there. I was driving down the road in February with the passenger window wide open because of the smell! My FM said they had paid to have the truck professionally detailed and it should not be smelling. He never would tell me if someone DIED in it! Finally another newbie came on board and they gave him the truck and I got one that only started when it felt like it!! Finally got that one fixed at TA month later when I could not restart it at a customer. TA found the problem right away and fixed it....in house mechanics kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it. The ground wire was rusted almost all the way through. TA relplaced it and I was out of there in an hour. And this was after the tractor that did not have any heat in the cab in February!! I guess if you can stand suffering through the pos's you get as a newbie you will be stronger for it! ??? My Neice and Nephew still talk about the tractor that stunk like somebody died in it!! LOL

out of this whole thread this post made me laugh the hardest I feel really bad for you that you had to put up with that kind of a smell. If any of you have seen the movie Grumpy Old Men you know what i'm talking about "Phew, Phew , what the hell is that smell?!" If you haven't seen that movie I recommend it! But I have some questions of my own hehe :). I have already spoken with Roehl and got accepted but were "beating around the bush" as some people put it on my questions. When did you start getting paid? In between Evo I and Evo II did they take you home and pick you up at home? Just wondering if i need to take even more extra cash with me when I go to Roehl for training just in case if I have to pay my way home after Evo I. I don't know about some of you guys/girls but I'm in Upstate NY but my family is scattered all over the U.S. so driving truck doesn't bother me any lol. Father is in Georgia, Mother in Florida, Aunt in NYC, Brother and sisters in Upstate NY and my other Aunts and Uncles are in Indiana lol. Did you have assigned areas where you had to fuel? or could you just fuel where ever? From some of the previous posts that I had read sounded like your told when to fuel, and what route you have to take. When you took the bus to Marshfield did they pick you up from the bus terminal or did you have to take a taxi? I'm curious what does DRG mean? Are the trucks auto or standard? Last question for now lol Does Roehl have ez-pass now?? I know i'm 21 so i'm not as old as some of you guys/gals out there. I was also told that I will be in the Van National division. My recruiter also told me that I will be going with a flatbed driver during my training. ok i've typed enough for tonight if i have anymore silly, weird or interesting questions I will be sure and ask away lmao. Yall Have a good night
