Always a load going to my neck of the woods, plus being in the top 10 of about 70 drivers makes for at least a small degree of comfort.

Three of our linehaul guys got laid off. They are back to working the dock. I am #53 out of 55 on the bottom of the seniority list. I told my buddy #54 that we are next.

On a side note, not that I would ever do food service, but I was all but certain that those guys had THE best job security. People always have to eat. Guess I was wrong on that theory. Half of Sysco in my area was laid off. Some lucked out and are running groceries for all the stores. At least some of them are doing well.

I think the big issue for them is the restaurants. That’s a lot of business now gone.

I've been very blessed. My dedicated customer is deemed "Essential and Critical". For now. So, I too volunteered to stay home if need be. That seems to be about 1 day every two weeks.

We shall see how this customer goes. They make machine parts for food and medical production machines.

I hope and pray that everyone here gets through this with the least amount of harm.

    Added thought, after dinner.
The customer has one flaw. They have vendors in multiple states. Leaving them, and by extension ME. At the whim, of too many people.

Well I did work food service and believe me, we all thought the same thing. No one considered the possibility that all restaurants would close to dine-in customers and that schools would be out for the year 2-3 months early.
