Problem we have right now in AB is we're essentially landlocked. Rest of Canada hates us. Not willing to help us get our product to market. Supposedly 7,000 jobs will be created in AB for this project.

 

Good deal on that passing. I've been out of the loop for a bit. Will be doing Chesapeake work. Rates aren't the best but they're not terrible either

I have FOUR securements PER coil and its in the racks? What on earth are you folks criticizing? I see them with one chain all the time.

 

Edit- I got all mad but what do i care what you think of my load? Its my life in front of it and ive got more securement than any other truck i saw leave.

Trailer gonna wait ! Called the ole boy and he's going to deliver it for me. Gonna give him fuel $$$. Then he drops the reason why. Sold his truck to a boy in Pa. two birds with one stone kinda thing. I like when a plan comes together !!

 

They never done me wrong, and i have a few honest contacts there that let me get stuff before it hits DAT. Beancounters negotiating their quarterly contract rates is probably the biggest issue. My buddy had 21 of 35 accounts cost them money in february. Meaning TQL kicked in boot to move the stuff. Probably not what the public hears about.

 

I've been binge watching Bonanza for the last few days myself. In between acts, I look up trivia and facts about the show. The stars Bio's, memorable episodes, trivia.
Today however I came across a somewhat disturbing video clip on you tube. An interview with David Canary who played Candy in the later seasons.
He was speaking about the death of Dan Blocker. He stated that Dan was a heavy drinker but "cleaned up his act" Then he went on to say that he developed pancreatitis and had surgery. After which a blood clot formed in his leg and traveled to his heart, killing him

I wouldn't know about Dan's drinking, but every fan of Bonanza knows that Dan Blocker died of a postoperative pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in the lung, after gallbladder surgery.
Perhaps some so called journalist who hadn't even been born when the show was on could be excused, but of all people one of his Co stars.

 

Hey, I'll back up and say I did not mean to piss you off. A photo is not 3D. But like you have your opinion and posted a picture of it. My opinion is you could learn a more proper way. I travel these roads, along with friends and family. I will take anyone's criticism if it improves my safety. On the square cut lumber, it's fine if you have coil rack that rotate the lumber. But those 90° coil racks are designed to have beveled lumber in them. Just because it is given to you dont make it right. I never count on a mill to have lumber. I never count on a mill, or mill employee to instruct me on securement. Yea I am smarter than the dufis loading my truck and trailer. Nor will I allow them to tell me how to load my trailer.

I see guys everyday half as load coils and someday they are gonna kill themselves or others. More than once I offer to help. Most just get offended and continue thier halfazzed ways.

Again, sorry not trying to piss you off.
