i would say all are closed. m will be closed for 3 weeks, you have keep in mind that their trucks go a lot into export markets which are not affected by virus so much, for example daf trucks almost dont go to export.

my father still drives (4axle tipper) he works on field 360km from home. he has a permit to travel.
there would be lot of demolition work in next few months here, we had few strong earthquakes, so far more than 900 buildings damaged, some cant be repaired. just read that they will have to remove 10m 30t heavy tip from cathedral using 120m crane.

    KVB and daf105paccar Thank this.

Cat,do know where that picture was taken?
Because the building style off the building in the background is ...........typical industrial Dutch style.
    @KVB can confirm that.

Van Vliet in The Netherlands, Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel
It is no longer on their website, so I assume it was sold.

They used to advertise with Oshkosh M1070's as well.
I saw a bunch of these at Bas Trucks in Veghel (also The Netherlands) this morning.

    Truck in @Cat sdp picture:
    Kenworth 993, Cummins V12 1710 cu.in. @ 700 bhp.

3 of these were delivered to Spain in the 1980's to transport boilers steam vessels etc to a powerplant site. This must be one of these.

Cat sdp, 98989, pushbroom and 3 others Thank this.

Some info for those interested in how some things work now in North Italy,
As previous stated i haul 20,25 and 30 footer tankcontainers intermodally.
So those loads going to the "hot zone" .
Train arrives at one off the stations which are around Milan.
    Cans get unloaded.
Truck ,because both truck and driver remain in the "hot zone", can pick up the container without any risk off extra contamination.
Paperwork gets emailed, ahead off the truck arriving,to the delivery point.
    Truck arrives at factory.
I presume they either see him arrive or he calls them with his mobile phone, they open the gate and direct driver to where he has to park.
The whole time the truck is in the factory ,the driver stays in his cab.
Employees off the factory hook up the hoses and unload .
When finished, they unhook all and signal to the driver he can leave.
Again no papers are exchanged with the driver.
    They get signed,scanned and emailed.

That is how it now works in some places with "hot zones".
if you look at it ,it is a logical way to avoid spreading the virus.
Aldough i have not been told,i presume the traindrivers work in similiar fashion.

98989, KVB and spsauerland Thank this.
